FELIZ NATAL FAMILIA!!!!
Wow, I absolutely LOVE this time of year!!! We were able to fulfill one of my Christmas wishes last night- caroling on the street- in the center of the old city! I was in charge of the pass along cards so anyone who would stop or I felt to talk to, I would leave the group and contact them! It was SOOO FUN AND AWESOME!!! This one older woman sang with us and I think we made her Christmas :) I was asked to give a talk yesterday for Christmas and I felt that I should talk about one of the experiences I had in Israel. I talked about when we visited the shepherd’s field outside of Bethlehem and how we were able to find our own spots and sit and ponder. I thought about how the shepherds were the only ones humble and worthy enough to receive the visit from the angels and how they accepted the invitation to come to Christ. And then I thought about the angels and who they were. And then it hit me- it was me. It was us! We were the hosts in heaven singing praises and glory to God!! Think of how excited we were that first Christmas- watching from Heaven the birth of Christ! How we wanted to share our joy with the whole world!!! Think of that joy and excitement- that the Savior was born and he would make it so we could return to our Heavenly Father again! Think of that feeling and keep it and then share it with the whole world! CHRIST WAS BORN!!!!!! He lived and He died for us! I am so full of happiness and joy and gratitude!!! I know that Jesus Christ LIVES!!!! I LOVE this time of year!!! I am so grateful to truly be giving Christ everything i have this year. I am so grateful to be serving the people here in Portugal and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. I wouldn´t want to be anywhere else and I know my family would agree- that this is where I should be and I am sooo grateful!!!! I LOVE this work, I love the Savior. Merry Christmas to all!!! I am so excited to talk to you family tomorrow!!! It will be around 2 or 2:30. Hope that works for you. I have a phone card as back up. :) I love you all with my whole heart!!! HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!!!
